It’s important that those involved in training delivery and consulting activity not only have the theoretical knowledge but can balance this with the practical experience gained by being a practitioner in the ‘working world’, that is why we have people whose roles have included Vice President, Director and Senior Managers.
Graham Vallis
‘A committed and focused individual, with proven people, communication and business skills, capable of motivating people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to improve personal and business performance through creative positive innovation’. Graham designs and delivers a broad range of soft skills and business skills programmes, is an ILM trainer, assessor and verifier. In addition to this, his consultancy approach is utilised by organisations for broad ranging bespoke assignments relating to business development. Graham held senior positions within large corporations before founding Graham Vallis Associates in 1990, the forerunner to Four Straight Lines Ltd launched in February 2016, of which he is Managing Director.
Angela Bowland
A seasoned marketing, communications and business executive, with a strong background across consulting, financial and IT services sectors in blue chip international organisations. Has strong experience in Services and B2B marketing, demand generation, reputation management, government relations, PR, market research and relationship selling and marketing. Having been a CEO, Angela is at ease working at board level.
Sue Johnson
A well respected professional with a track record grounded in retail, commerce and the public sector. Areas of involvement with senior management and directors encompass leadership, team development, relationship building, influencing skills, coaching and mentoring approaches. Other specialisms cover customer service, sales and preparing project teams as part of the tendering process for obtaining business.
Maureen Bacha
A highly effective operator in both industry and commerce, she has been instrumental in identifying business and people issues that benefit from training or coaching interventions. Maureen designs bespoke workshops and coaching plans and has also been responsible for the creation of learning strategies and policy, management development programmes, training need analysis and the delivery of learning interventions with clients.
Paul Simmonds
A credible and commercially-focused finance professional with multi-sector international experience and excellent business related academic qualifications, including an MBA and a Doctorate from Warwick Business School. He has highly effective interpersonal skills encompassing leadership, communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, all developed through the management and involvement in finance and multi-disciplinary teams at board level.
Joanne Vallis
An experienced and well respected teaching and advisory specialist who has led and managed various Early Years Advisory teams. Joanne has been instrumental in establishing and developing the Inspirational Learning Space, which has involved writing and delivering training, and contributing to the development of Early Years Foundation Stage support materials. She has also contributed to reports, articles and publications and appeared on Central Television’s ‘Life Line’ programme on Preparing for School, as well as speaking at national and regional conferences and seminars. Joanne is also an EYFS moderator.
